    (27 November 2009)  A consultation to determine whether a proposed marine conservation site off the Lincolnshire coast near to Skegness, should be designated a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) is to begin today, Friday 27 November. Designation would see the site become one of the latest additions to the ‘Natura 2000’ network of European protected areas, designed to protect internationally important habitats, species and birds from activities which are having an impact on them.
