£10.5m grant scheme announced
18.08.2008Natural England's Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund will open on Monday 18th August for new applications. The Fund has £3.5m from Defra this financial year for grants and a similar amount is expected for each of the next two years. For more information see 2008/2009 Grant Scheme. -
Climate Change Affects UK's Birds, says report
15.08.2008Climate change is causing a number of widespread British birds to lay their eggs much earlier than 40 years ago, that’s just one of the trends revealed in the latest State of the UK’s Birds report – an annual publication produced by a coalition of conservation organisations looking at the fortunes of the UK’s bird populations.
