In the recent Government announcement to save £6.2bn in 2010-11 the Treasury confirmed a recruitment freeze across the Civil Service for the remainder of this financial year.
This is estimated to save at least £120m across Government departments, agencies and NDPBs.
Natural England is imposing an immediate recruitment freeze from Monday 24 May 2010. No further offers of employment to external candidates will be made at this time.
